Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) Graduate Orientation
Fall 2023
On Mon. Sep. 11, 2023, Prof. Mo Mojahedi (Associate Chair, Graduate Studies) will host orientation in the Great Hall, Hart House to welcome new graduate students who will join ECE in the 2023-24 academic year. Students starting in May 2023, Sep. 2023, & Jan. 2024 are welcome to attend.
- The information session will commence at 10:30am and run for approximately 90 minutes including an opportunity to ask questions at the end.
- Incoming students are encouraged to join us at 12:00pm for a mix-and-mingle lunch reception. Students will have the opportunity to meet professors, returning ECE students, and other incoming students across all three of our degree programs.
Pre-registration is not required for ECE’s orientation.
Winter 2024
On Thu. Jan. 11, 2024, Prof. Mo Mojahedi (Associate Chair, Graduate Studies) will host orientation in Room 202, Galbraith Building to welcome new graduate students who will join ECE in Winter 2024.
- The information session will commence at 3:30pm and run for approximately 60 minutes including an opportunity to ask questions at the end.
- Incoming students are encouraged to join us at 4:30pm for a mix-and-mingle reception. Students will have the opportunity to meet professors, returning ECE students, and other incoming students across all three of our degree programs.

Other Orientations
New students are also encouraged to attend the orientation offered by the School of Graduate Studies.
The University of Toronto Graduate Students’ Union (UTGSU) may hold an orientation for new graduate students. If offered, details will be posted on the UTGSU website.
The Centre for International Experience (CIE) may offer pre-arrival and welcome services for new international students. Details are posted on the CIE website.
