Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) Graduate Orientation
On Friday, September 10, 2021, Prof. Mo Mojahedi (Associate Chair, Graduate Studies) will host online orientation sessions to welcome new graduate students who will join the Department in the 2021-22 academic year. Students starting in both September and January are encouraged to attend.
Each session will provide an opportunity for incoming students to learn about academic and research opportunities in ECE and other information relevant to graduate studies.
- The session for research-stream (M.A.Sc. and Ph.D.) students will commence at 11:00 a.m. ET and run for approximately one hour.
- The session for professional-stream (M.Eng.) students will commence at 1:00 p.m. ET and run for approximately one hour.
Pre-registration is not required for either session. Students will receive an email from the Graduate Office one week prior to the event with an access link. Each session will be recorded, so that students unavailable to attend their live-stream session may watch it later.
New students are also encouraged to attend the orientation offered by the School of Graduate Studies.
The Centre for International Experience (CIE) will offer a number of pre-arrival and welcome services for new international students. Details are posted on the CIE website.
The University of Toronto Graduate Students’ Union (UTGSU) may hold an orientation for new graduate students. If offered, details will be posted on the UTGSU website.
