The largest teaching laboratory complex within the department, these labs support a variety of courses in digital design and embedded systems. These labs handle a range of experiments, from simple logic gates all the way to projects using field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). Students make extensive use of FPGA platforms, interfacing them with external hardware for course projects. Some courses make use of Lego controllers to expand the students’ options for projects. These labs are equipped with state-of-the-art Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes, PC workstations and support hardware to FPGA platforms.
