Workshop on Neuromodulation Research — June 2, 2016

Banner workshop on neuromodulation research

The Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE), the Institute for Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering (IBBME), the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, and the Krembil Research Institute (KRI) are holding a workshop for faculty members of their respective departments/institutes to discuss the establishment of a new centre or institute for the development of advanced neuroimplants and neuromodulation devices. At this workshop, a team of neurosurgeons, neurologists, neuroscientists, and neural engineers, will share a list of brain-related research problems and challenges with faculty members from ECE and IBBME. Once the contemplated center/institute is established, it will develop, test, and implement systems to be used to control and modulate brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerve function.
