ECE student, professor win Best Paper Award at IEEE ICC

Ph.D. student Yicheng Lin and Professor Wei Yu of the Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering received a Best Paper Award at the IEEE International Conference on Communications 2013

Lin and Yu presented their paper, titled ‘Ergodic Capacity Analysis of Downlink Distributed Antenna Systems Using Stochastic Geometry’ in the Communication Theory Symposium at ICC 2013, held in Budapest, Hungary.

ICC is one of the two flagship conferences of the IEEE Communications Society. Each year ICC  attracts more than 2,000 submitted scientific papers, and is attended by about 2,000 professionals from all around the world. This year’s conference theme was ‘Bridging the Broadband Divide.’ To read more about the conference, visit its website: http://ieee-icc.org/index.html
