Two references are required. Additional references are not permitted.
Academic referees are preferred. However, an applicant may ask a manager or other engineering professional to provide a reference.
Applicants who have undertaken a Master’s program must include a reference from their Master’s (research) supervisor.
Applicants must include contact information for their referees in their ECE WEB SYSTEM application. When the application is submitted the ECE WEB SYSTEM will automatically forward an e-mail message to each referee. The system-generated message will provide the URL for the ECE WEB SYSTEM, an individual login ID and password for the referee, as well as instructions for submitting the reference on-line.
Referees must enter their references on-line through the ECE WEB SYSTEM. Applicants should not forward hard copy reference letters to the ECE Graduate Office. Hard copy reference letters will not be considered.
The ECE Graduate Office will contact referees to authenticate all references.
