Trench Innovation Sprint: Lunch-and-Learn Info Session

Abstract
Calling all U of T ECE and MIE students: Join Lawson Climate Institute for the Trench Canada and Hydro One Innovation Sprint!
The Innovation Sprint is open to University of Toronto students enrolled in programs at The Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering at undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD levels. Participants are invited to join us for a Lunch & Learn, networking, and team formation session on October 5, 2026, where teams of 3 to 5 students will be formed. Teams will then develop their solutions ahead of the Final Presentations and Awards on October 21, 2026.
Each member of winning teams will receive a prize! Prizes may include:
- $1,000 Amazon gift card
- $750 Amazon gift card
- $500 Amazon gift card
- Apple Watch
- AirPods
This opportunity is presented by Trench Canada and Hydro One in collaboration with the University of Toronto’s Lawson Climate Institute.
