Recent ECE Graduates

A degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering can lead to a wide variety of careers.  Take a look at some of our recent graduates to see what they're doing:  

  Michelle


Microchip Design:  Michelle Zeng


Michelle Zeng graduated in 2008 and has been hired by Actel Corporation in California as a Device Characterization Engineer.

Michelle will be performing verification on chips -- testing the design before a chip is manufactured.

Aerospace Industry:  Sarah Oliveira

Sarah graduated in 2005, and works for Bombardier Aerospace in their Regional Aircraft Division. Her job within the Electrical Systems Group is best described in two ways: integrator and investigator.  As an integrator, she designs electrical interfaces and control logic for various hydromechanical and avionic systems. As an investigator, she uses her problem solving skills to collect and analyze "clues" when troubleshooting issues on production.

  Bryan




Business & Software:  Bryan Chan

Bryan Chan graduated in 2008 and is working for Deloitte Consulting as a Business Technology Analyst.

Bryan's job will be to meet with the company's clients to determine their business needs and to provide them with technical, software solutions.

Finance:  Mathew Szeto

Mathew Szeto graduated in 2004 and joined the Royal Bank of Canada that year as an application engineer.  Since then he has risen to become the co-architect of RBC's proprietary program and algorithmic trading platform.  As the architect of this system, he also contributes materially to both algorithmic development and electronic execution.

Software Engineering:  Hammad Siddiqui

Hammad Siddiqui graduated in 2006.  He is working for Microsoft Corporation in Seattle as a Software Design Engineer in Test.  Hammad's job combines the "building" aspect of software design engineering with the "breaking" aspect of software test engineering. Hammad's new role is a developer who helps design, develop and maintain automation systems.

Energy Sector: Daniel Zou

Daniel Zou graduated in June 2007.  He is working for the Energy Savings Group as a Business and System Analyst.  His areas of interest are energy and business.  Dan's goal is to be an Energy Consultant within a few years.
