Important Dates

The academic year is comprised of two terms (Fall and Winter) and one session (Summer). The Fall term runs from September through December; the Winter term from January through April; and the Summer session from May through August. The University closes for approximately two weeks, between the Fall and Winter terms, for the Holiday Season.

ECE does not offer any graduate courses during the Summer session, nor is JDE1000H “Ethics in Research” offered during the Summer session.

Please consult registration, course enrolment and course timetables, as well as SGS sessional dates, for important deadlines and scheduling information.

• 2013 Fall term start: Thursday, September 5, 2013
• 2013-14 Holiday Season closure: Monday, December 23, 2013 to Sunday, January 5, 2014, inclusive
• 2014 Winter term start: Monday, January 6, 2014
