M.Eng. Delivery Options

ECE offers three delivery options for the M.Eng. program. Applicants must select their delivery option at the time of application. Special Note: Students admitted to the full-time M.Eng. for September 2013 will have a one-time opportunity to opt into the extended full-time option. The student must declare his/her intention to register in the extended full-time option before registering for September 2013.

• Part-time Option
  • September or January start
  • Students will take a minimum of three years to complete the program
  • Students may take a maximum of six years to complete the program
  • Students will enrol in a maximum of four courses per year over three terms
  • Maximum course load is two per term, four per year
• Full-time Option
  • September or January start
  • Students may complete the program in just one year
  • Students may take a maximum of three years to complete the program
  • Students will enrol in nine or ten courses per year over three terms
  • No maximum or minimum course load
  • Once registered in the full-time M.Eng., students cannot transfer to the extended full-time option
• Extended Full-time Option
  • September or January start
  • Students may complete the program in two years
  • The program may be extended to a third year with no additional fees
  • Students will enrol in a maximum of six courses per year over three terms
  • Maximum course load is three per term, six per year
  • No minimum course load
  • Once registered in the extended full-time M.Eng., students cannot transfer to the full-time option
