Requirements for the M.Eng. concentration in Electromagnetics follow:
- General M.Eng. requirements apply
- Three required courses
- ECE1228H Electromagnetic Theory
- ECE524H Microwave Circuits
- ECE1229H Advanced Antenna Theory
- Three elective courses (tailored to the student’s needs, subject to approval of Electromagnetics graduate coordinator)
- ECE1252H Introduction to Computational Electrodynamics
- ECE1253 Active Microwave Circuits
- ECE1262H Microwave and Millimeter-wave Techniques
- ECE1449H Photonics I, or ECE1450H Photonics II
- ECE1243H Topics in Electromagnetic Waves: Periodic Structures
- ECE1448H Quantum Mechanics for Engineers
- Three optional courses
- courses listed as electives which are not used as electives may be used as optional courses
- courses in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science (subject to approval of Electromagnetics graduate coordinator)
- maximum of three engineering management and leadership (APS1000-series) courses
- Three-course project (ECE2500Y) in the field of Electromagnetics (subject to approval of supervisor) may be taken in lieu of three non-required courses
