2005 Update

ECE homepage redone with Ironpoint's CMS software.  The CMS support site is http://www.cmssupport.utoronto.ca

2001 Update

The ECE home page has been redesigned by Tommy Zhu, to make it much more colourful and to make it easier to navigate through the site.

1999 Update

The ECE web site has been totally redesigned in the summer of 1999 by Avianna Chao and Yan Zhou under the supervision of Peter Pereira. The new ECE site features:

  • Redesigned graphical interface incorporating frames to allow for easier navigation.
  • Updated graduate studies handbook.
  • Consistent colour/font scheme throughout the web site.
  • Optimized graphics for fastest load time.
  • Reorganized pages for more logical access and removed redundant and missing links/pages.
  • Search engine.
  • Site map.

1997 Update

This web site underwent its first major overhaul in the summer of 1997. Reconstruction and updating of the web site was handled by Timothy Hong and Tien Luong, under the supervision of Paul Chow.

The new ECE site features:

  • Re-configured for the Apache server with server-side includes.
  • The site were reconstructed to take advantage of server-side includes.
  • Building maps were scanned in from the Undergrad Handbook, 1997-98 edition.

1995-1996

The look and feel of the web site was conceived by Vigen Ngo, which were adapted from the design by Rajesh Pankaj and Frank Kschischang.

The HTML files were generated from 'phtml' files which were written by Vigen Ngo. The HTML files were adapted from those written by Donna Tsang, Rajesh Pankaj and Frank Kschischang and debugged by Ragulan Sinnarajah.

The graphics in the ECE web site were designed by Vigen Ngo, and approved by Rajesh Pankaj and Frank Kschischang. The campus map was scanned in from a faculty document, and coloured by Frank Kschischang. The tree and acorn bullets were also scanned by Frank Kschischang, and were modified by Vigen Ngo.
