Software Systems


The Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank, with a start date of July 1, 2012, in the area of Software Systems.

Applications are welcomed from outstanding candidates in all areas of Software Systems, with particular interest in cloud computing and information storage systems. All areas of cloud computing will be considered, including architectures, operating systems, security, virtualization and resource management, mobile user support and applications. Areas of interest in storage systems include, but are not limited to, hierarchical storage systems, novel storage devices and technologies, mobility considerations, and energy optimizations. Successful candidates are expected to pursue excellence in research and teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and must have (or be about to receive) a Ph.D. in the relevant area.
