Arriving by Car or by PlaneIf you are not familiar with the University of Toronto campus or Toronto, you may find the following directions helpful. For those who fly...If you fly into the Toronto Pearson International Airport (the main Toronto Airport), you can get to downtown Toronto easiest by bus
Driving directions from west of Toronto:If you are on the Queen Elisabeth Way (QEW) eastbound towards Toronto from the west, continue to downtown Toronto. If you are on Hwy 401 eastbound towards Toronto from the west, turn south onto Hwy 427 after you pass the airport and follow the signs to the QEW. Then take the QEW east to downtown Toronto. The QEW turns into the Gardiner Expressway in Toronto. As you approach downtown Toronto, you will see the CN Tower - the tallest free standing structure on earth - directly ahead of you. Soon after you pass the CN Tower, take the Yonge-York-University exit (which is the exit after Spadina). Go north on York Street until it meets University Avenue. Continue north on University Avenue, following the directions for
Driving directions from east of Toronto:If you are coming from the east towards Toronto on Hwy 401, turn south onto the Don Valley Parkway (DVP) after Victoria Park Avenue. Take the DVP south to Bloor Street. Drive west on Bloor Street following the directions for
Driving directions from north of Toronto:If you are driving south on Hwy 427 from north of Toronto, follow the driving directions from west of Toronto after you pass Hwy 401. If you are driving south on Hwy 400 from north of Toronto, go west on Hwy 401 at the junction of Hwys 400 & 401 and then go south on Hwy 427 at the junction of Hwys 401 & 427. Then follow the driving directions from west of Toronto.
Getting to the Sandford Fleming Building from the QEW:Drive north on University Avenue until you reach College Street. At this point, you should go west on College Street, but you are not allowed to make a left turn. So continue about 50 meters north on University Avenue until you reach the start of Queen's Park Circle. At this point, you are allowed to make a U-turn and come back south on University Avenue. When you get back to College Street, turn right (west) and drive a few blocks west on College Street to King's College Road. Turn right (north) onto King's College Road. Sandford Fleming is the yellow brick building on the west side of King's College Road about 50 meters north of College Street. (You will come to the parking attendant's booth before you reach the Sandford Fleming Building.)
Getting to the Sandford Fleming Building from Bloor Street:Drive west on Bloor Street until you reach St. George. Turn left onto St. George Street and drive south until you reach College Street. Turn left again onto College Street and drive one block east to King's College Road. Turn left (north) onto King's College Road. Sandford Fleming is the yellow brick building on the west side of King's College Road about 50 meters north of College Street. (You will come to the parking attendant's booth before you reach the Sandford Fleming Building.) |
