Scholarships in ECEFour scholarships have been established in ECE. Two scholarships are awarded in the Fall session and two are awarded in the Winter session. Please review the eligibility requirements and application procedures for each scholarship.
(Fall 1) Viola Carless Smith Research Fellowship in Electrical Engineering

Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada.

At least one fellowship will be awarded annually.

The recipient will be a graduate student in the field of Electrical Engineering, specifically in Electronics or Computer related work
-
The recipient must demonstrates good academic ability and significant financial need.

Preference will be given to a Ph.D. student who has moved beyond the funding guarantee (i.e., in years 5 or greater of Ph.D. registration).

The application package must include a cover letter from the student (to address his specific qualifications for the Fellowship), a letter of support from the research supervisor, the student’s curriculum vitae, and a completed Financial Needs Assessment Form.

(Fall 2) V. L. Henderson and M. Bassett Research Fellowship in Electrical Engineering

The recipient will be a graduate student in the field of Electrical Engineering who demonstrates high academic achievement, as well as the intention to work or conduct further study in Canada.

The recipient must also demonstrate significant financial need.

Preference will be given to a Ph.D. student who has moved beyond the funding guarantee (i.e., in years 5 or greater of Ph.D. registration).

The application package must include a cover letter from the student (to address his specific qualifications for the Scholarship), a letter of support from the research supervisor, the student’s curriculum vitae, and a completed Financial Needs Assessment Form.

(Winter 2) J.L. Allen Yen Scholarship
