Prizes in ECEFour prizes have been established in ECE. Please review the eligibility requirements and application procedures for each prize.
(1) Paul Biringer Graduate Scholarship

At least one scholarship will be awarded annually.

The recipient will be an international student who has demonstrated academic excellence and is working in the area of low frequency magnetic devices. In the event that a suitable candidate is not found, preference will be given to an international student in Electrical Engineering.

The nomination package must include a letter of support from the research supervisor, a letter of support from a second faculty member, and the student’s curriculum vitae.

Nomination packages must be submitted to the ECE Graduate Office by January 13, 2012, for consideration.
(2) H. W. Price Research Fellowship in Electrical Engineering

At least one fellowship will be awarded annually.

The recipient will be an M.A.Sc. student who has demonstrated academic excellence and is working in an area relevant to Hydro One. In the event that a suitable candidate is not found, preference will be given to an M.A.Sc. student in Electrical Engineering.

The nomination package must include a letter of support from the research supervisor, a letter of support from a second faculty member, and the student’s curriculum vitae.

Nomination packages must be submitted to the ECE Graduate Office by January 13, 2012, for consideration.
(3) Shahid U.H. Qureshi Memorial Scholarship

At least one scholarship will be awarded annually.

The recipient will be an outstanding student in the field of Communications. The recipient will be selected by faculty members in the Communications group, in consultation with family, friends and associates of Dr. Quereshi.

The nomination package must include a letter of support from the research supervisor, a letter of support from a second faculty member, and the student’s curriculum vitae.

Nomination packages must be submitted to the ECE Graduate Office by January 13, 2012, for consideration.
(4) Right Track CAD Graduate Scholarship

At least three scholarships will be awarded annually.

Each recipient will have a record of high academic achievement. Preference will be given to students focusing their studies in the area of Programmable Logic. In the event there are no suitable candidates, preference will then be given to students in the Computer Engineering group.

The nomination package must include a letter of support from the research supervisor, a letter of support from a second faculty member, and the student’s curriculum vitae.
